Alien Superstar

I am thrilled that Mercury retrograde ends on Friday.  My apologies for this week's Celestial Insights podcast.  Vesta was at 29 Gemini, not Leo.  I hope you understood the context. I recorded on the day Jupiter stationed retrograde while trining the trickster transiting my third house of communication. Jupiter is more focused on the big picture than the details.  Despite listening back, I did not catch my error. Yikes!

As we blaze back over the path that Venus in Leo has traversed for the third time, I am still unpacking her retrograde through Leo. Venus rules beauty, pleasure, money, women, and relationships.  Fiery Leo is a joyful, expressive, and creative sign. Retrogrades bring delays, reversals, and the collapse of anything contemplated. It was a loud transit and events will continue to unfold until Venus enters Virgo on October 8. 

• When Venus entered fiery Leo on June 5, it opposed Pluto at 0 Aquarius, both at a critical degree. The ingress chart gives a flavor of the entire transit. Venus rules comfort, Pluto has mass influence, and Aquarius is the sign of the collective. The massive heat waves, devastating storms, and catastrophic fires suggest that climate change's impact is increasing, and we are getting a signal of how Pluto may transform the collective over the next 20 years.  The increasing amount of mobs gathering to rob stores and create mayhem is also in line with this transit.  Shadow Venus in Leo seeks pleasure for the self and does not have regard for the other.
• Venus in Leo rules female superstar celebrities and squares Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus three times.  Jupiter rules wealth, Uranus excitement, and Taurus money. Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and Barbie are each grossing over $1 billion and bringing the fun. Check out articles by NPR and  CNN about the phenomenon.  While the financial boom is wonderful, how many people have overextended themselves buying tickets and merchandise for the musical tours?  Venus in Leo square Jupiter in Taurus symbolizes excessive spending for luxury items without considering the consequences. The last square to Jupiter is this Saturday and Uranus on September 29th.
• Surprising news, delays, reversals, relationship breakups, and reputational damage to Leo-ruled celebrities, recreation events, and royalty also dominated the news.  Madonna and Bruce Springsteen delayed their tours due to illness.  Sandra Bullock's partner died young from a disease. Megan Markle lost her Spotify deal. A Venice tour boat company banned Kanye West and his partner for indecent behavior. Danny Masterson was sentenced to 30 years in prison for rape. Aston Kutcher and Mila Kunis suffered reputational damage for writing letters supporting their former co-star and friend.  Britney Spears, Adriana Grande, Kevin Costner, Joe Jonas, and more celebrities are divorcing. 

High -road Virgo brings order to chaos by utilizing what is essential and discarding the excess. Organizational skills, attention to detail, and healthy habits are priorities. Shadow Virgo is perfectionistic and self-punishing for even the most minor mistakes. Beyonce is the ultimate Virgo; her talent and work ethic is unmatched.  She truly is an Alien Superstar.  The cleverness of her lyrics, the precision of her routines, and the intricate detail of her costumes embody the Priestess energy on steroids. Her Venus-Pluto conjunct in Libra explains why she is so mesmerizing to the masses. It is a joy watching her daughter Blue Ivy build her skills on the world stage.  The 8 of Pentacles card in the tarot is associated with the Sun in Virgo. Repeated practice builds mastery.  She is getting better and better over time.  Blue Ivy has her natal Mars in Virgo. 

Carol Tebbs's, my chart rectification teacher, analysis of Joe Biden's natal chart puts his midheaven (MC) at 22 Virgo.  The MC is the cusp of our tenth house of status, reputation, and work. This New Moon is trine Uranus, which falls into his natal sixth house of toil. It was announced today that the House of Representatives will launch an impeachment inquiry. The Jupiter Uranus conjunct at 21 Taurus on April 20, 2024, is precisely opposite his Mercury at 21 Scorpio in his 12th house of endings, tribulation, and anguish of the mind. Mercury rules his career and is a signifier of children. Will the transit bring freedom or a shock? We will see.

This Virgo New Moon is one of the best lunations of the year.  It creates a smooth grand trine in Earth with Jupiter/ Uranus in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn. If you feel in a holding pattern, this an excellent time to set intentions to get unstuck and manifest your desires.  Take action to improve your health, get organized, or be of service.
