Last week’s big news was the guilty verdict in the Trump trial. I predicted the verdict date of May 30 when Mercury and Uranus met at Donald Trump’s midheaven (MC) square his Mars. The MC is the most public place in the chart, and a communication shock that enrages a person is on the brand. I was too nervous to predict the verdict as there was a foggy Neptunian haze over the trial chart. I recorded a YouTube video that details the astrological influences at play.

Trickster Mercury landed in its Gemini home on Monday, where it can easily express its energy. Have you had to do things twice? Gemini is a doubled-body sign that enjoys repetition. We have an extra boost to clear, deliberate thinking and speech until June 17. The caution is not to get too scattered this mutable air sign is easily distracted by shiny objects.

This New Moon kisses Venus in Gemini and tensely squares Saturn in Pisces, the planet of controls, consequences, disappointments, delays, and loneliness. Saturn excludes and rejects, so you may hear or say no to offers and invitations. On the other hand, you may also be rewarded financially for the hard work that you have put into something.  

Set in the USA capital, this lunation falls in the 11^th house of groups and organizations, with Venus (6/8), the Sun (6/9), and Mercury (6/12) frustratingly squaring Saturn. The USA has a Libra MC, so Venus rules the President and the executive branch. Joe Biden is under pressure with dual big problems. First, his son’s gun charge trial is grabbing the headlines. This week, two (Gemini) of Hunter Biden’s exes (Venus) testified about his drug use (Pisces). A trial is a Saturnian hardship.

Also, Biden’s response to the war in Israel is enraging many Americans because of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. There is talk of Libra Benjamin Netanyahu coming to testify before Congress as an incentive to agree to a ceasefire. Bernie Sanders and other legislators will boycott and reject listening to the speech. If it happens, I expect the speech by the Full Moon on June 21. Mercury rules the USA allies because it is on the descendant of the USA Sibley chart.  It is active next week, primarily through the 18th. We shall see. No matter the date, I expect the speech to land like a lead balloon with many Americans despite their outrage about the horrors of October 7.

This lunation is heavy. Venus rules comfort, pleasure, and joy, while Saturn can feel like a wet blanket. Someone may just need some breathing space for a bit because of personal overwhelm. It may be temporary; try not to take it personally. There is also intense breakup energy over the next week, so pick your battles.

It is a good time to push your kids to practice adulting, stop sugarcoating things, curb sugar, or reduce excess spending.  After a birthday month of wonderful celebrations and waist-expanding overindulgence.
