The universe invites us to slow down and review how we expend our energy with a double retrograde in fire signs. Mindful Mercury in Sagittarius is reversing until December 15, but it is not in a demure mood. Energetic Mars in Leo is doing the backward boogaloo until February 23. Retrogrades bring delays, reversals, conflicts, and collapse of things contemplated. We are witnessing these transits play out worldwide. Rebels are on the verge of overthrowing the Syrian government; the South Korean President declared martial law for six hours, the French government collapsed, and Romania's election results were annulled after systems saw over 85,000 cyberattacks. It was announced this week that eight US telecom firms were compromised by a Chinese hack campaign this summer. The Salt Typhoon campaign accessed millions of Americans' calls, texts, and voicemails. The hackers are still in the system. The US government suggests that everyone uses encrypted messaging apps as protection. This is a national security nightmare as their likely targets were government and political figures. The murder of the United Healthcare CEO is also related to the transits. I posted some thoughts on social media about the killer being an anti-hero; read them here.
On a personal level, retrogrades encourage us to consider the re-words like review, revisit, revise, and reconsider for all things involving communication, transportation, commerce, energy, drive, and conflict. Here are some suggestions as we wrap up 2024 and begin an unprecedented year.
2024 was abundant with unexpected opportunities to expand my astrology career. I am now a board member of the Organization of Professional Astrology (OPA), on the faculty of Kepler College, part of the 2026 United Astrology Conference planning committee, and regularly speak for organizations in addition to my own practice. Life is exciting and fulfilling, but I must refine and consolidate my efforts as my current work schedule is unsustainable. Frankly, I am physically drained.
Full Moons illuminate, and last month’s one in Taurus was in my eleventh house of community. It activated the great awakener, Uranus, which liberates, stresses, awakens, shocks, and excites. I decided to end my bi-monthly blogs. Rather than consider it a duty, I will write them when inspired. Capricorn’s New Moon workshop will be the last. for a while. Join for the chance at a hot take chart reading. My favorite news story at the time was the New Zealand MP disrupting Parliament with the Māori Haka. She is a fly in the ointment, amplifying the mistreatment of her people into the spotlight. Over 40,000 people were in the streets on November 19 when Pluto entered Aquarius for the next twenty years. The power is moving towards the people. It will be slow, complex, and unsettling but steady.
I will provide astrology-in-action updates and forecasts on the Celestial Insights Podcast and Instagram Lives. 2025 is an exciting year of new energy. Beginner astrology classes are returning. I am creating some new offerings, so stay tuned! Reply to this email to let me know what you find most valuable and any suggestions for upcoming classes and a potential YouTube show.
Happy Holidays,
Celeste
