The Doldrums

Virgo season invites us to examine the routines and rituals of our daily lives and adjust as needed. I am in Mexico at a health and wellness spa, exercising, eating healthfully, and getting more rest after burning the candle at both ends for too long.  Pisces rules escapism, self-sabotage, and drugs. In alignment with the Pisces lunar eclipse, I made the decision to permanently abstain from alcohol, recognizing that its effects were hindering my personal growth as my psychic abilities expanded. Eclipses serve as gateways to profound and lasting changes, offering us the opportunity for personal growth and a brighter future.

The last sign of the zodiac governs people experiencing extreme hardships like homelessness, poverty, mental illness, and drug addiction. They are easy to demonize and scapegoat. The sign's ruler, Jupiter, is currently in detriment in airy Gemini. Jupiter rules the truth, and shadow Gemini likes to twist, manipulate, and stretch it. There is a Jewish parable about a gossiper who spreads a mistruth about their neighbor.  They are caught and go to the rabbi to ask how to repair it.  He tells them to bring a pillow filled with feathers to the top of a hill and empty into the wind. After they complete the task, their next instruction is to pick up every feather, an impossible task.

Since the Presidential debate, the town has had to deal with bomb threats, school closures, and unwanted attention from reporters. Some are terrorizing the legal immigrants who have helped revitalize the dying town.

The eclipse is conjunct oceanic Neptune near the end of the sign. As climate change escalates, flooding impacts parts of Africa, Europe, Asia, and more. The most alarming story recently is that scientists do not know why large patches of the Atlantic are cooling near the Equator.

Pisces yin energy invites us to go inward. Consider a conversation with your creator. Use music is medicine. If you have food allergies, be extra vigilant about checking what you eat. Stub out your last cigarette. Give peace a chance. Write a love letter. Protect yourself from mosquitos. Be careful with fire and sharp objects. Share a kind word. Ask for forgiveness but understand you may not get it. Avoid swimming with no lifeguard on duty.
