Wash Me Clean

The Aquarius lunation cycle began on January 21, with Venus and Saturn embraced in the sign. Did you end, encounter hardships, or successfully overcome challenges related to love, beauty, or relationships? Did making new commitments require you to forsake some others? I changed my hair stylist to save money, had my last appointment with my Invisalign orthodontist, and decided that I may eliminate alcohol. Anyone who knows me knows how much I enjoy wine, but I joined the Alcohol Experiment for dry January. When I began drinking again, I had an epiphany that I no longer enjoyed the buzzed feeling. The conjunction squared my natal intoxicating Neptune in the fifth house of pleasure. Stopping drinking is on brand for this transit. We shall see if it is permanent.  

During the Leo Full Moon, Uranus in Taurus squared the luminaries on a world point bringing high visibility to dramatic, disruptive, and shocking events. A few of the stories that stood out include: 

• Accidents - a train and pickup truck collided, leading to the derailment in Ohio. The city evacuated residents due to the release and burning of toxic chemicals. The extent of the environmental disaster is still unfolding. 
• Natural disaster - the devastating earthquakes that rocked Turkey and Syria have caused untold misery as hundreds of buildings crumpled in minutes. There is a spotlight on how shoddy construction contributed to the devastating death toll.  
• Shocking events - a Chinese surveillance balloon was spotted by civilians in the sky over Montana and drifted across the USA. A violation of land boundaries is on brand. The government spotted several balloons over the last few years but did not inform the public. The culmination of the lunation cycle brings high visibility. What is done in the dark comes to the light! 
• Surprises - interestingly, a week later, Rihanna’s Superbowl performance brought back the imagery. Her dancers were dressed in white balloon-like outfits, and her bright red jumpsuit was similar to the Chinese flag color. At the scheduled game time, the Scorpio Moon opposed Uranus. What a pleasant surprise that the world became aware of her second pregnancy.

Watery Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac. This mutable, adaptable energy ushers in endings. What are you ready to release that is no longer serving you? Connect with your inner world.
