As I mentioned last week, Saturn in Aquarius is squaring Uranus in Taurus three times this year on February 17, June 14 and December 23/24. On a personal level, radical changes to structures that no longer serve is in order. I had the honor to speak to the brilliant astrologer Colin Bedell of Queer Cosmos about the squares and so much more!
You can view our conversation on his Instagram feed @queercosmos or my YouTube channel here. Also, check out my transit talk video for a discussion of this...
Do you feel time accelerating? Well buckle up and expect the unexpected. The New Moon in Aquarius on February 11th features a six-planet pileup in this fixed air sign. There is a risk of feeling detached, scattered, and untethered. Remember to breathe and center yourself.
When there is a concentration in one element, bring in the others to balance yourself. Get into your earthly body with walks in nature or grounding by running your bare feet through the grass. Embrace the lifegiving force of fire by moving your chi. Do some heart pumping exercise, enjoy a great laugh or take a calculated risk. Nurture your water with meditation or just be still and listen to your body knowledge.
Mercury is retrograde so it is a good time to embrace the “re” words. Relax your mind, carefully review contracts, and reread any correspondence. Most of all, just slow down. The winged messenger is a trickster so save all your documents constantly while drafting them.
The planetary stars of...
The Wolf Moon in Leo perfects on Jan 28th. At the Full Moon, our luminaries oppose each other. They are the maximum distance apart, and able to view each other fully. We are called to find a balance between the energies. The Sun represents our essence and the Moon what we need to be nurtured. Humans are social animals, we need each other to survive. The Sun in airy Aquarius encourages us to nurture the connection to our friends, community, and the collective. The Moon in the fiery Leo reminds us to never lose the inner child. Our souls need to create joy and pleasure so that we may thrive.
The Sabian Symbol for this juicy Full Moon in Leo is Early Morning Dew Salutes the Sunlight. It is so fitting that we have a four-planet parade in the sign of Aquarius, the eccentric air sign with the symbology of the water bearer. The early morning is a time of hope and new beginnings. We emerge from the dark and to the fresh air. Here we can find our inner wisdom.
Our lights are each having a...
Happy New Year! 2021 is off to an unpleasantly raucous start. Saturn rules authority and Uranus governs rebellion. The headliners of 2021 are having tense conversations on February 17, June 14, and December 24. The insurrection at the Capitol gave us a preview that rebellion is likely one of the plots. Staying centered and focused on what we can control in our own lives is the cure for the rage pandemic. #serenityprayer.
This Capricorn New Moon on January 12 is whispering secrets to the Lord of the Underworld. Pluto rules death, rage, obsession, destructiveness, and other dark parts of life. Last year, we all faced our mortality and experienced the end of our way of life. The Saturn Jupiter conjunction on the solstice started a new 20-year cycle, this is the first New Moon since. It is time for a rebirth!
There is healing energy to support you as you examine your shadows. Do you have a healthy relationship with your personal...
We have come full circle as the year of our discontent ends. The previous Cancer Full Moon was the Jan 10th lunar eclipse. It occurred two days before the planetary Lords of Karma (Saturn) and the Underworld (Pluto) met on a world point signaling permanent changes to global structures. Thankfully, the energy shifted last week on the winter solstice with a deep breath of fresh Aquarian air for the collective. I am loving the lighter energy. The pandemic is not over but the evolutionary story has turned a page. I have hope for the future that we will harness the greater good side of the water bearer.
On Tuesday, Dec 29th, the Full Moon is at home in the nurturing and watery sign of Cancer. The crab rules the home, roots, and our most private selves. The energy is soft and supportive, we can just lean into our feelings. There are several subtle conversations between our planetary teachers that lend to transformational healing. It is a good time to grieve what...
An astrology reading explores your natal chart - a snapshot of where the planets were at the time of your birth. The chart is an owner’s guide to a deeper awareness of your personality, life lessons, and karmic story.
Each chart has an echo, a key message about your soul’s evolution as you journey through this life. It is common to feel a natal reading is the first time you are truly seen. It will help you understand your internal wiring, uncover hidden talents, illuminate subconscious needs, detail your life lessons, and discover your soul’s purpose.
Astrology is a flashlight. The planets are always orbiting and activating our charts. This ancient system provides guidance on what areas of our lives are going to be in focus. A natal reading includes an energetic “weather” report which details whether you may need sunscreen or an umbrella. The knowledge will help you to make informed choices on your path forward.
A New Beginnings reading is ideal...
Jupiter (the Guru) and Saturn (the Authority) are meeting in the airy sign of Aquarius on Dec 21, 2020, at 10:20 AM setting off new 20, 200, and 800 year cycles. The Great Conjunction is a turning point for cultures and economies. Jupiter calls for the expansion of ideas and Saturn brings the structure to crystallize them into form. We still have some rough months ahead but the vaccine is the light at the end of the tunnel. Remember its always darkest before dawn, avoid negative thinking. Understand your why and reimagine your life post COVID.
After every pandemic, there is a renaissance. Aquarius is an air sign which rules innovation. We will see new technical advancements coming at the speed of light. Many brick and mortar stores will not be replaced as we move more and more online. It will be important to find new ways to maintain community as we continue to social distance until COVID-19 is under control. Aquarius is a sign of extremes. It represents the collective and...
2020 slid in like a ninja assassin and is going out with a supercharged New Moon on Monday, December 14. Bang! The cosmic TV channel changes permanently and we must adjust to the updated programming. The energy of this eclipse family (Saros 4 South) is emotional and issues relating to money or relationships may arise. Avoid making unplanned big purchases or relationship decisions until after the New Year.
Lucky for us, the Sabian symbol for 23º Sagittarius is a sign of good luck and happiness. The bluebird is at the door, the house is a bit battered and in need of repair but still offers the opportunity for sanctuary. Although we are in a difficult time of metamorphosis, eventually, we will butterfly. Sagittarius is a mutable sign that wants us to expand our horizons. Consider adding new skills to bring personal or career success.
This fiery and joyful sign embraces life and adventure. It is no accident that cultures around the world celebrate holidays during...
